Full job description

APS Sussex is looking for an experienced plasterer to join our construction and maintenance team, working mainly in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding Sussex area.

Pay: £160–£180 per day, depending on experience.

Full-time, self-employed/CIS work.

Immediate start available for the right person.

We are a friendly, hardworking company that takes pride in high-quality workmanship and good customer service. Our work includes maintenance, repairs and refurbishment, so we need someone who can produce a neat, consistent finish and leave each work area clean and tidy.

The work will include:

  • Preparing walls and ceilings for plastering.
  • Skimming walls and ceilings.
  • Patch repairs and making good damaged plaster.
  • Plasterboarding and preparing joints and surfaces.
  • External rendering, including surface preparation, application and repairs.
  • Protecting customers’ property and keeping work areas tidy.
  • Working with other trades to complete jobs to a good standard.

To be considered, you must have:

  • Proven plastering and rendering experience and a high standard of finish.
  • Your own hand and power tools.
  • A full driving licence and your own vehicle for travelling to sites.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A reliable approach, attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
