Plasterer – Domestic Repairs & Maintenance
Pay: £34000 - £36000 per year, dependant on experience

About Us
Building Finishing Services UK Ltd is a well-established building finishing company based in Edinburgh, delivering multi-trade repairs and maintenance across Central Scotland. We're looking for a skilled, reliable Plasterer to join our team, working on residential properties, including tenanted and empty (void) homes.

Job Summary
You'll carry out plastering and making-good work to a high standard across tenanted and void properties in the Edinburgh area. Working independently and as part of a wider multi-trade team, you'll take pride in getting the job right first time and on time, leaving homes clean, safe and ready for tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Skimming, patching and making good walls and ceilings
  • Full re-plastering of rooms, including void property refurbishments
  • Dry lining, boarding and taping
  • Repairing cracks, water damage and damaged surfaces
  • Making good after other trades, such as joinery, electrical and plumbing works
  • Preparing surfaces and protecting floors, furniture and fittings
  • Keeping work areas safe, clean and tidy
  • Following health and safety procedures and wearing PPE at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a plasterer, ideally in domestic repairs or maintenance
  • A high standard of finish and attention to detail
  • A full, valid UK driving licence (essential)
  • A reliable, self-motivated approach with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Respectful and polite when working in occupied homes
  • Good communication skills in English for reporting and liaising with tenants and colleagues
  • CSCS card and/or SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plastering (desirable)
