Job details
Full job description
Adaptavate is a business of the future, a dynamic team of engineers, thinkers, parents, walkers, traders, dreamers, climbers, scientists, gardeners, friends, family and visionaries. People who think differently to make a big impact through our work… together.
We are answering the urgent call to decarbonise construction globally, by developing the low carbon and carbon-negative technologies and products needed, and the industrial ecosystem to deploy them fast, anywhere in the world.
To succeed in our mission, we are looking for a Breathaplasta Regional Sales Manager who will build relationships, develop local markets and turn product availability into sustained sales growth in Northern England and Scotland. This position will work within the Breathaplasta team.
This role will drive growth in Breathaplasta sales by building strong relationships with merchant and distribution partners, developing new business opportunities, and increasing contractor engagement and repeat product sales. You’ll take ownership of your territory, identifying and developing high-potential local markets, strengthening our route to market, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline to deliver sustainable commercial growth. Clear, measurable targets will be agreed as part of your territory plan, giving you the focus and autonomy to make a tangible impact on the business.
The objective is simple – get Breathaplasta available, get contractors using it and keep the orders coming in!
Your role
This role will include, but is not limited to;
Merchant Engagement & Growth
- Build strong relationships with national, regional and independent merchant branches.
- Support new branch launches, product adoption and repeat ordering.
- Identify high-potential branches and overcome barriers to sales growth.
Contractor Demand Generation
- Identify and develop relationships with plastering contractors, installers and relevant construction businesses.
- Build product confidence through site visits, demonstrations and ongoing engagement.
- Connect contractor demand to local merchant partners, creating repeatable sales through the channel.
Territory Development
- Develop a focused territory plan, prioritising the highest-value opportunities and geographic areas.
- Coordinate merchant and contractor activity to grow local markets.
- Maintain a clear sales pipeline and identify opportunities for further growth.
Sales & Marketing Collaboration
- Work with Marketing on targeted local campaigns, branch activity and contractor engagement.
- Share customer insight, competitor intelligence and opportunities for case studies.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report on commercial progress.
You will have;
- Proven field-sales experience in building materials or construction products.
- Strong knowledge of builders’ merchants and contractor markets.
- Demonstrable success in territory growth, new business development and repeat sales.
- Strong commercial, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable;
- Established merchant and contractor relationships across Northern England.
- Experience with plaster, insulation, drylining or related products.
- Experience supporting merchant branch roll-outs and new product launches.
- Confident delivering product demonstrations and contractor training.
What do you get in return?
In this role as our next Adaptavator, you will grow and develop your key career skills. This will be developed through a blend of personal mentorship and applied learning.
The impact of our business is realised by the cohesion and growth of our team members. We aim to create a collaborative, supportive, fun and respectful working environment that enables you to thrive. Collectively, we can lead the carbon change in construction for a better future!
