Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Self Employed Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plastering services across various residential and commercial projects. As a self-employed professional, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring all work meets industry standards. Your expertise will help transform spaces, providing smooth, durable finishes that enhance the aesthetic and structural integrity of buildings.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure optimal plaster adhesion
  • Mix plaster materials accurately according to project specifications and safety guidelines
  • Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats for a flawless finish
  • Repair damaged or uneven surfaces with appropriate techniques including patching and skimming
  • Coordinate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and carpentry teams to ensure seamless project progression
  • Use power tools and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to expedite work without compromising quality
  • Follow schematics and technical drawings to achieve precise results in complex installations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plastering with a strong portfolio of completed projects
  • Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is highly desirable
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for construction tasks
  • Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings for accurate execution of work
  • Ability to perform construction fabrication and carpentry tasks as needed
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering durable, high-quality finishes
  • Construction experience across various environments is preferred
