Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces, transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will help create smooth, durable finishes on walls, ceilings, and other structures, contributing to the overall quality and aesthetic of our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse building sites, from residential to commercial developments, while honing your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster materials.
  • Mix plaster compounds accurately using hand tools and power tools to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with trowels, hawks, or spray equipment, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair cracks, holes, and imperfections in existing surfaces before applying new plaster layers.
  • Collaborate with bricklayers, masons, carpenters, roofers, and welders to coordinate tasks and ensure project efficiency.
  • Use masonry techniques when necessary for structural repairs or enhancements.
  • Operate various power tools safely and effectively during the plastering process.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction or building trades.
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools such as trowels, floats, and mixers.
  • Familiarity with bricklaying, masonry work, roofing techniques, and welding basics is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work with carpentry tools and understand structural elements of buildings.
  • Experience working on both interior and exterior surfaces across different types of projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes in a timely manner.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
