This is a practical delivery role. It is not classroom-only, and it is not box-ticking.

We are looking for people who can help adult learners develop real construction skills, understand site standards, build confidence through competence, and prepare properly for employment, CSCS/site-readiness, NVQ progression and future work in the construction industry.

The role may involve delivery across a mix of:

Non-accredited practical training

Accredited short courses

Qualification delivery

NVQ preparation

Employer-led training linked to real vacancies

CSCS/site-readiness pathways

Future apprenticeship delivery where appropriate

We are not just looking for people who can teach a trade. We are looking for people who understand what employers expect from new starters: reliability, punctuality, attitude, safety, communication, pride in work and the ability to contribute on site.

The role may involve:

Delivering practical construction training to adult learners

Supporting learners on funded and employer-led construction pathways

Helping learners develop site-readiness and employment-ready behaviours

Preparing learners for progression toward NVQ where appropriate

Supporting practical assessments, learner progress and evidence gathering

Working alongside assessors, IQAs and the wider CSW team

Contributing to a growing, professional construction training organisation

We are looking for people who:

Have strong experience in their trade

Take pride in high standards of workmanship

Communicate well and behave professionally

Are reliable, organised and consistent

Have patience and confidence working with beginners or improvers

Understand the realities of site work and employer expectations

Want to help develop the next generation of construction workers

Are willing to learn assessment and quality processes where required

Essential:

Strong practical trade background in construction

Good understanding of site standards and employer expectations

Reliability and professionalism

Ability to work with adult learners

Must be within reasonable travelling distance of South Wales delivery locations

Desirable but not essential:

Existing teaching or training experience

A1 / CAVA / TAQA assessor qualification

IQA qualification

Experience in FE, funded delivery or apprenticeships

Multi-trade experience

Experience supporting NVQ evidence or workplace assessment

We can support the right people to gain:

CAVA / TAQA assessor qualification

IQA qualification where appropriate

Ongoing CPD and professional development

Progression within a growing construction training organisation
