Job Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Specialist Lime Renderer / Qualified Scaffolder to undertake traditional lime stucco rendering alongside scaffolding access installation and dismantling.

This dual-skilled opportunity is suited to a versatile tradesperson with proven experience in specialist rendering and appropriate scaffolding competence, particularly on refurbishment, restoration or heritage construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces and undertake specialist lime stucco rendering.
  • Apply traditional lime-based materials using appropriate application, finishing and curing methods.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and suitable protection of completed finishes.
  • Erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding as part of a suitably competent scaffolding team.
  • Follow relevant scaffold designs, recognised configurations and approved safe working procedures.
  • Check materials, equipment and work areas before commencing activities.
  • Coordinate rendering activities with safe access requirements and other site trades.
  • Maintain compliance with working-at-height procedures and site safety requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in traditional lime rendering and stucco application.
  • Proven scaffolding installation and dismantling experience.
  • Understanding of suitable substrates, traditional materials and specialist finishing techniques.
  • Knowledge of safe working-at-height procedures and construction site safety.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently on rendering tasks and within a scaffolding team.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Appropriate CSCS card where required.
  • CISRS scaffolding qualification appropriate to the work, or other recognised system-specific competence where applicable.
  • Relevant rendering or plastering qualifications desirable.
  • Specialist lime stucco or heritage restoration experience desirable.

A reliable, quality-focused tradesperson with genuine competence in both disciplines. Scaffolding duties must remain within the individual's demonstrated qualifications and experience.
