Overview

As a self-employed multiskilled operative, you will carry out varied practical work across construction and property maintenance.

Skills required plumbing/plastering/ painting/carpet and flooring laying/basic roofing.

You’ll complete work carefully for a good finish.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing and masonry tasks, selecting work that matches your capabilities.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs, installations and general site work.
  • Check completed work, keep the work area orderly and communicate progress or issues to management.

Your impact: Reliable, well-finished work helps residents maintain safe building.

Qualifications

Required: Practical ability with hand and power tools, sound judgement when assessing tasks, and care in completing work across relevant trades. Preferred: Experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work or fabrication, with flexibility to take on varied assignments and communicate clearly about progress and any issues.

Pay: From £18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
