Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to begin work for a well-established company in the Cambridge area.

About the role:

Working Hours - Monday – Friday, 7:15am – 4:30pm (8 hours paid per day)
Pay Rate - £23.00 – £27.00 per hour, depending on experience
Base Location - Cambridge, CB4
Coverage - Sites within approximately a 30-mile radius

Brief Role Description –

We are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to carry out high-quality refurbishment, restoration and maintenance works across premium residential and period properties.

Duties will include:

  • 2nd fix carpentry and joinery
  • Fitting and repairing doors, frames, skirting and architraves
  • Timber flooring and detailed finishing works
  • Patch plastering and making good walls and ceilings
  • Painting and decorating to a high standard
  • Minor masonry and general building repairs
  • Minor wall and floor tiling
  • Flooring repairs and installation
  • Carefully removing and reinstating existing fixtures and features
  • Carrying out remedial and restoration works
  • Protecting expensive finishes and existing property features
  • Working alongside specialist trades
  • Maintaining clean, safe and organised working areas
  • Ensuring all finished work meets a high standard

Start: ASAP

About You:

  • Experienced Multi Trader / Multi-Trade Operative
  • Valid CSCS card essential
  • Strong carpentry and joinery experience, particularly 2nd fix
  • Competent with plaster patching, decorating and general repairs
  • High-end residential refurbishment experience preferred
  • Period, heritage or listed building experience advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality of finish
  • Own tools essential
  • Own transport essential
  • Able to travel to sites within approximately 30 miles of Cambridge
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently
