About Us:

Craig Baker Driver Training Ltd is a leading provider of HGV, PCV, and minibus driver training across the the UK. We are committed to delivering high-quality training, supporting learners through every step of their journey to becoming professional drivers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an organised and proactive Customer Support Administrator to join our dedicated team.

Role Overview:

The Customer Support role is someone responsible for assisting current students through their training course. It will involve working closely with the scheduling team in the planning, and coordination of all driver training activities. This key role involves working closely with instructors, learners, and admin staff to ensure smooth delivery of services and an exceptional experience for all clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assist with daily and weekly training schedules for all driver categories (e.g. HGV, PCV, minibus).
  • Work in the office to take calls from existing customers and deal with day-to-day queries.
  • Communicate with candidates regarding training dates, requirements, and test bookings.
  • Support learners with course information, documentation, and test preparation guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports using internal systems.
  • Work closely with the sales/admin team to maximise course bookings and instructor utilisation.
  • Back up the sales team by taking overflow calls (and capturing caller details so that they can be called back)
  • Coordinate with third parties such as test centres, medical providers, and venues.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in training delivery and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service and admin is essential.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with CRM/booking systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of driver training processes (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of HGV/PCV licensing categories and DVSA requirements (again, desirable but not essential).
