DESCRIPTION

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Creative Development Executive to work with the UK Series team. This role involves supporting the entire lifecycle of original scripted productions, from sourcing to release. The ideal candidate will bring experience in scripted development and production, either at a producer or commissioner, with a comprehensive understanding of the TV landscape. We're looking for someone with proven creative instincts in supporting the selection and development of projects, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and established industry relationships

The successful candidate will be able to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround; and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills and have the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice.

Key job responsibilities
Evaluate the quality of scripts and offer creative feedback
Track writers and directors
Seek out and assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches
Work with senior execs and writers to develop stories and scripts
Support all creative aspects of development, production and post-production
Serve as a liaison between the UK Series department and all other departments including Casting, Production, Marketing, Press, Research, Business and Legal Affairs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in content creation or copy editing, including online publishing
  • Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
  • Experience working as a producer, creative executive, or a similar role
  • Knowledge of the television and media industry
  • Multiple years experience in scripted series development and/or production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time
  • Knowledge of entertainment industry trends and players
  • Experience working in a fast paced, quickly changing or international environment
