Full job description

Join the Team at Kirby Cattle Services

We’re looking for someone hardworking, reliable and keen to build a career in agriculture. This is an entry-level role with excellent opportunities to progress.

You’ll start by supporting either our concrete grooving crews or hoof trimming teams. Day-to-day tasks include brushing up, moving water pipes, setting up equipment, pushing cows, lifting feet and washing down equipment at the end of the day. As your experience grows, you’ll be trained to take on more skilled roles across both sides of the business, giving you a varied and rewarding career with genuine progression.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Love being around farms, livestock and the agricultural industry.
  • Be physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Be eager to learn new skills and work as part of a close-knit team.
  • Be willing to work away from home for much of the week. If regular nights away are likely to be an issue, this role probably isn’t the right fit.
  • Want to work plenty of hours and be happy with early starts and long days when required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career in a specialist industry, with the chance to progress within both our grooving and hoof trimming divisions while working on farms across the UK and overseas. Full training will be provided – we’re looking for the right attitude and work ethic more than previous experience

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
