Full job description

Sisko Group is currently recruiting experienced domestic plumbers to complete internal water meter exchanges across West Sussex and Hampshire.

This is a long-term opportunity working on a secure utility contract, with strong earning potential and a regular supply of scheduled appointments.

The position:

  • Exchange internal inline and screw-in water meters
  • Complete approximately 10–12 scheduled appointments per day
  • Attend a mixture of morning and afternoon appointments
  • Complete standard and complex meter exchanges
  • Carry out additional riser cupboard work when available
  • Provide a professional service within customers’ homes
  • Attend every scheduled appointment and maintain excellent timekeeping
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota, normally one week in every four or five

You will need:

  • NVQ level 2 or Diploma level 2 in plumbing
  • At least two years’ unsupervised domestic plumbing experience
  • Experience changing stop taps and repairing leaks
  • Strong fault-finding and basic repair skills
  • Experience unblocking pipes and completing pipework alterations
  • A good understanding of domestic water, heating and drainage systems
  • Experience using pipe-freezing equipment or freeze kits
  • Press gun or crimping experience is desirable
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Your own plumbing hand tools and standard power tools, including drills, multitools and an impact driver

Based on completing approximately 10–12 appointments per day, typical earnings are £250–£350 per day, depending on the type and complexity of work completed.

A £170 backup day rate is available, subject to completing a full working day and meeting the applicable conditions.
