Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong Plumbing & Heating knowledge and be adept at working with various different systems and equipment. As a Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing & heating systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Your role will be varied every day from repairing a boiler one day to installing a new sink and taps the next.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair Plumbing & Heating systems, including boilers, radiators, water heaters and sanitaryware.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work under your own initiative liaising with the office including some more "office based" tasks such as minor pricing works as is required.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to heating installations.
  • Liaise with other stakeholder such as customers, colleagues and other tradespeople when required.
  • Carry out heavy lifting tasks associated with the installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on-site.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
  • Competent English skills for communication and record keeping.
  • Competent Maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
  • Hold Gas Safe certification.
  • F Gas accreditation would be highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Valid driving licence is essential
  • Must be physically fit to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
