About Us

Strachan & Kemp Facilities Services is the core facilities management business within the SK Group, delivering integrated hard and soft FM services to a diverse commercial client base across Scotland and the wider UK.

Over recent years, the business has grown significantly, expanding our client portfolio, directly employed workforce, and focus on self-delivery, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and structured service delivery. We have also invested heavily in digital infrastructure, using our fully integrated Simpro CAFM platform to manage PPM, reactive works, and reporting.

We operate across a varied estate, including commercial offices, retail, leisure, industrial, and managed properties, supporting clients through long-term maintenance contracts, reactive works, and project-based works.

About the Role

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Commercial Plumber to join our expanding engineering team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality plumbing maintenance, repairs, installations, and small projects across our commercial client portfolio.

The role is varied and will include planned preventative maintenance, reactive call-outs, remedial works, and support with minor projects.

You will work closely with our Helpdesk, Operations Team, and fellow engineers to deliver an excellent customer experience.

About You

The following requirements are essential:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Plumber
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, or equivalent
  • Unvented Hot Water qualification
  • Water Regulations qualification
  • Legionella awareness or L8 experience
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience within commercial maintenance environments
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills

The following requirements are desirable:

  • PASMA/IPAF certification
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid
  • Asbestos Awareness
