Industrial / Commercial Plumbing/Heating A/C Engineer Needed

Full-time Permanent Employment

Clark Electrical & General are looking for skilled, experienced hard working and talented Qualified Plumbing/Heating A/C Engineer for our projects in the UK to undertake the following:

  • Install and commission plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial premises in line with building codes and regulations.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, fault-finding and repairs to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, providing estimates and explaining technical issues and solutions.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, use appropriate PPE and report any hazards.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used and time spent.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and technologies, including completing at least 10 hours of certified CPD training annually.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other trades to deliver projects on time and to specification.
  • Provide emergency call-out support, resolving urgent plumbing, heating and A/C issues safely and promptly.

General Requirements

Minimum of 3 years fully qualified experience in commercial/industrial Plumbing/Heating & A/C

Travelling up to 100miles radius from MK

Full UK driving license (clean license preferred)

Good numerate & reading skills

Good with heights & confined spaces

Must have a good pro-active attitude and able to liaise with clients on site

Ability to work on their own or as part of a team. A ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to help out other operatives

Full Time Role

Be able to work out of hours & weekends on occasions (pay reflective of hours worked)

Be able to read & understand technical drawings/schematics, job sheets and method statements

Qualifications (required)

  • Recognised plumbing and/or heating qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience with commercial/industrial plumbing, heating and A/C systems
  • Valid CSCS/skill card or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Gas Safe registration (or working towards it), if gas work is undertaken
  • F-Gas certification for A/C and refrigeration work (or willingness to obtain)

Summary

As a Plumbing/Heating & A/C Engineer specialising in commercial and industrial settings, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical building services and associated systems. You will utilise your core skills in pipefitting, brazing, and working with a range of HVAC and plumbing equipment to ensure all works are completed to specification and in line with current regulations and safety standards. Proficiency with relevant hand and power tools, along with proven experience in commercial and industrial environments, is essential. A valid driving licence and an appropriate NVQ (or equivalent) in Plumbing/Heating & Ventilation or Mechanical Engineering are required, enabling you to travel efficiently between sites. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our commitment to delivering high‑quality, reliable mechanical and HVAC solutions to our clients.
