Silverwood Recruitment is proud to partner with a rapidly growing business based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, to find a talented Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with:
- An NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (ideal) or experience from an Estimating background.
- Proven experience in Measured Term Contracts.
- Strong commercial awareness and an excellent understanding of costs and job evaluations.
You’ll play a vital role in the business, working on exciting projects and helping to drive the company’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities
Project Collaboration
- Partner with Contract Managers and Supervisors to plan, schedule, and execute work.
- Actively participate in QS meetings with clients, ensuring measures are agreed upon promptly and proactively.
Client Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients and consultants, ensuring effective communication.
- Address client queries and negotiate valuations and measurements with professionalism.
Cost Management
- Prepare pre-measured budget costs for projects.
- Administer contracts, manage costs, and produce interim valuations and final accounts.
Site Engagement
- Attend meetings and conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
