Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems and plumbing infrastructure across various residential sites. Your expertise will ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a broad skill set, and contribute to the seamless operation of essential utility systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain gas appliances, piping, and plumbing fixtures in accordance with safety regulations and technical specifications
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on gas systems to identify potential issues before they escalate
  • Use hand tools, power tools and carpentry skills to assemble and modify piping and fixtures as needed
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large equipment or materials during installations or repairs
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot system failures and implement effective solutions promptly
  • Follow detailed safety procedures and maintain compliance with all relevant codes and standards
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and inspections carried out for documentation purposes

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plumbing, gas engineering, or related trades with a strong understanding of mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in soldiering techniques and the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
  • Knowledge of plumbing installation, repair processes, and pipe fitting techniques
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate commercial driving vehicles when required
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
  • Familiarity with carpentry tasks related to infrastructure modifications or custom fittings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving abilities
