Reactive Maintenance Plumber – Commercial Premises

Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT)
Role: Reactive Maintenance Plumber
Environment: Commercial Premises
Qualification Required: City & Guilds Level 3 Plumbing

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Reactive Maintenance Plumber to carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs across a portfolio of commercial premises throughout the RCT area.

The role will primarily involve attending reactive maintenance jobs, diagnosing plumbing faults and completing repairs or replacements efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The successful plumber should be experienced and competent in:

  • Replacing and repairing taps
  • Replacing Zip boilers / instant hot water units
  • Replacing WCs and associated sanitaryware
  • Replacing and repairing toilet cisterns and syphons
  • Diagnosing and completing general commercial plumbing repairs
  • Adjusting and maintaining thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs)
  • Using a mechanical press/crimping tool
  • Identifying faults and determining the appropriate repair
  • Completing reactive plumbing works within occupied commercial premises
  • Working safely, professionally and with minimal disruption to building users
  • Accurately reporting completed works and identifying any further remedial works required

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a City & Guilds Level 3 Plumbing qualification
  • Have previous commercial plumbing / maintenance experience
  • Be confident working independently on reactive maintenance jobs
  • Have experience using mechanical press/crimping systems
  • Have a good understanding of plumbing fault finding and repairs
  • Maintain a professional standard when working within client premises

Desirable

  • Current DBS check
  • Asbestos Awareness certification
  • Previous experience working on commercial maintenance contracts

Important – Scope of Works

There are no gas or central heating works included within this contract.

The position is focused specifically on reactive commercial plumbing maintenance, including sanitaryware, taps, TMVs, water services and associated plumbing repairs.

We are looking for a qualified plumber who is comfortable attending a variety of reactive jobs and can assess, repair and complete works efficiently and professionally.

Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
