Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong technical background, practical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. Applicants must be organised, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance
  • Troubleshoot issues with heating equipment and implement effective solutions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing techniques to carry out installations and repairs
  • Read technical drawings and schematics accurately for installation purposes
  • Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely and efficiently
  • Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
  • Assist with assembly of heating components and related systems as required
  • Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools and materials between sites

Skills

  • Proven experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
  • Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations during installations
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Experience with commercial driving is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
