Plumbing Project Manager
Job Purpose
The Commercial Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various commercial and industrial facilities across Glasgow. This role includes tasks related to both new construction and ongoing maintenance, ensuring plumbing systems meet all regulatory standards. The Commercial Plumber will work closely with clients, provide troubleshooting support, and ensure high-quality workmanship on all assignments.
Key Responsibilities
· - Installation & Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
· - Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose plumbing issues and carry out repairs on commercial systems as needed.
· - Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations during all plumbing tasks. Conduct risk assessments before commencing work.
· - Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to provide updates and address any questions or concerns regarding plumbing services.
· - Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
· - Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest plumbing techniques and regulatory standards to ensure all work is performed to the highest standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
· - Proven Experience: Significant experience as a plumber, with a focus on commercial systems.
· - Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding of commercial plumbing systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
· - Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations as they apply to plumbing.
· - Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently.
· - Customer Service: Effective communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
Qualifications
· - Plumbing Certification: An NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent is required.
· - Health & Safety Training: Certification in health and safety protocols as relevant to plumbing.
· - Additional Certifications (Desirable): Additional certifications in commercial plumbing or related fields.
Working Conditions
Primarily field-based in Glasgow, with regular travel to various client sites.
Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate client needs and site access requirements.
Work involves physical activities, including lifting and bending, and may require work in confined spaces.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00 per year
