Full job description

A S Plumbing & Heating Ltd – Burntwood, Staffordshire

£40,000 – £50,000 per year + Company Van + Tools + Uniform

Full-time | Permanent

A S Plumbing & Heating Ltd is a well-established plumbing and heating company based in Burntwood, Staffordshire.

We work across domestic and commercial projects, including new builds, renovations, heating installations, boiler replacements, bathrooms, plant rooms, maintenance and reactive work.

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team.

We're a small, friendly business and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being out on different jobs and wants to be part of a company where quality and doing a good job really matter.

The role

This is a varied role, so no two days are necessarily the same.

You'll be working on a mixture of plumbing and heating projects, from domestic installations and refurbishments through to larger projects and commercial work.

We're looking for someone who is confident working on their own and can use their experience to work things out and get the job done, but you'll also have the support of the wider team when you need it.

For the right person, there is also the opportunity to take responsibility for jobs and see them through from start to finish, rather than simply being sent out to complete individual tasks.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a good, experienced engineer who takes pride in what they do.

You don't need to be the finished article, but you should have a solid level of experience and be keen to continue developing your skills.

You'll ideally be:

  • Experienced in plumbing and heating
  • Confident working independently
  • Able to diagnose problems and find solutions
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Well organised and able to manage your own jobs
  • Proud of the standard of your work
  • Friendly and professional with customers and other trades
  • Comfortable working in both domestic and commercial environments
  • Someone who takes care over the small details
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Keen to build a long-term future with a good local company

We particularly value people who care about the finished job, not just getting the job done.

The type of work we undertake

Our work includes:

  • Plumbing installations and repairs
  • Heating installations
  • Boiler installations and replacements
  • Boiler servicing and maintenance
  • Central heating systems
  • Bathroom installations
  • High-end domestic refurbishments
  • New builds and self-build projects
  • Commercial plumbing
  • Plant rooms
  • Maintenance and reactive works
  • Fault finding and diagnostics

There is plenty of variety, and the right person will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects.

Experience & qualifications

We are ideally looking for someone with a good level of experience in plumbing and heating.

Relevant qualifications are desirable, and Gas Safe registration would be an advantage, but we're primarily interested in finding the right person with the right experience and attitude.

A full UK driving licence is required.

What we offer

£40,000 – £50,000 salary, depending on experience and ability

Company van

Company tools

Company uniform/workwear

Full-time permanent position

Varied domestic and commercial work

Opportunity to take responsibility for your own jobs

Opportunity to develop and progress with the company

We are a small business, so you'll work closely with the directors and have the opportunity to make a real contribution to the company as we continue to grow.

Who we're looking for

If you're an experienced plumber/heating engineer who takes pride in your work, likes doing things properly and wants to work for a company that values quality, we'd like to hear from you.

We're not looking for someone who has to know absolutely everything from day one.

We're looking for someone with a good foundation of knowledge, a willingness to learn, a good work ethic and the right attitude.

If you're reliable, motivated and take pride in leaving a job you're happy to put your name to, this could be a great opportunity.

Please apply through Indeed with details of your experience.

If possible, we'd also love to see a few photographs of your previous work so we can get an idea of the type of work you've been involved with.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company car
  • Company pension
  • Sick pay
