Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as proficiency with various tools and techniques used in the industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. And have experience working with air source heat pumps and boilers.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
  • Installation of air source heat pumps.
  • Conduct routine inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in heating systems, providing effective solutions.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers and electricians during installations or repairs.
  • Perform assembly tasks related to heating system components.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex heating systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Basic math skills for calculations related to installations and repairs.
  • Experience in plumbing and carpentry is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or maintenance tasks.
  • A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transporting equipment to job sites.
