The Role:

As one of the UK’s biggest plumbing companies, we operate across the UK working in partnership with some of the largest household name. It is very much a family business operated with local people in local offices. The people that work with us are part of our team whilst at the same time provided with the opportunity to work independently using their knowledge and expertise to really benefit our customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated multiskilled engineer to work directly in our business predominately caring out remedial works. Most of this work is plastering patch repairs but can also occasionally include anything up to a full room board and reskim. Other skills required are very basic joinery, painting & decorating. Further skills are beneficial but not essential.

With over 50 years in business, our workplace is very stable and secure. We have worked throughout the COVID period with constant demand for our services from our existing customer base and partners. Although a flexible approach is expected, the role is predominately Monday – Friday with no On Call or Out of Hours working. Good rates of pay and overtime available if requested. We also have a number of bonus pay incentives.

We are committed to ongoing training and skill enhancement. Where we see an opportunity to improve the skills and knowledge of our team members, we provide the support needed in terms of time and finance, as well as a fantastic in house support network.

Although working day will start and finish from your home, you will be required to work anywhere within our catchment area in and around Yorkshire and the North East where our local offices are located.

Qualifications and Key skills/behaviours required:

• Full UK driver’s license
• Customer care is essential.
• Ability to resolve problems and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work with other trades & maintenance engineers.
• Being resourceful and self-motivated.
• Physically strong – capable of working with machinery or moving heavy equipment.
• Being flexible
• Able to resolve complaints quickly and efficiently.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Good time management and communication skills
• Experience of working in the domestic construction industry.
• Experience of using a mobile device for job allocation of your working day.
