About us

Melwick Ltd was established in 2016 by Liam Fenwick and Chris Melvin who have been in the plumbing and heating trade for over 20 years.

We are a small team of experienced and friendly plumbing and heating engineers. We currently operate in Lancashire and Manchester areas.

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the installation, maintenance and repair of heating systems.

We deal with domestic and commercial customers across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, travel will be required for this role.

As a company, we are looking for someone who has strong customer communication skills, the ability to work on their own and problem solve. Most importantly, complete work to a high standard and be knowledgeable of the GasSafe Regulations.

What the role involves:

  • Installing, servicing and repairing gas boilers and heating systems
  • Carrying out annual boiler services and landlord gas safety inspections
  • Diagnosing faults and completing heating and plumbing repairs
  • Undertaking general domestic plumbing work, including bathroom installations and pipework alterations
  • Completing 1st and 2nd fix plumbing installations for new-build properties, extensions and renovation projects
  • Installing and commissioning heating systems, radiators, cylinders and associated controls
  • Ensuring all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations and industry standards
  • Completing job records and required certification accurately
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional appearance at all times
  • Travelling to customer properties and sites across the local area

Must Have:

  • Full, clean UK Driving license.
  • Own tools (Gas analyser supplied).
  • NVQ2 (NVQ3 Preferred) - on the job experience required
  • GasSafe (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1)
