As a Multi Trade Operative in Chippenham, you’ll help keep homes safe, comfortable and well maintained—supporting day-to-day living and improving quality of life. You’ll deliver a mix of responsive repairs and planned maintenance, working across multiple trades to solve problems efficiently and professionally.

What you’ll be doing

• Carry out a wide range of multi-trade maintenance tasks to a high standard.
• Respond to repair requests promptly, diagnosing faults accurately and completing works efficiently.
• Support planned maintenance schedules, ensuring jobs are completed to specification and on time.
• Work on both occupied and vacant properties, with a focus on safety, cleanliness and respect.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and any follow-up actions required.
• Identify issues early and recommend appropriate next steps to prevent repeat call-outs.
• Coordinate effectively with colleagues and other partners to keep work flowing smoothly.
• Follow safe working practices and company procedures, including health and safety requirements.

Trades and skills we’re looking for

You don’t need to be an expert in every trade—but you should be confident across several disciplines and ready to learn where needed. Typical areas may include (depending on your experience and needs):

• Carpentry and basic joinery
• Plastering and patch repairs
• Plumbing repairs and small installations
• Basic electrical testing/maintenance activities within competence (where applicable)
• Painting and decorating
• General building fabric repairs
• Lock changes, minor glazing, and other common property repairs

Most importantly, you’ll bring craft pride—the ability to produce work you’d be happy with in your own home.
