We’re recruiting across England so you’ll see lots of vacancies in lots of locations. Please only apply to the role and location that is most suitable for you. Please don’t apply to multiple locations.
What you’ll do
At Octopus Energy Services, we put the customers’ experience at high priority, so you’ll carry out the work respectfully at their property. From day one you’ll be learning about new technologies and getting awesome training to give you the skills to assist the installation engineer.
Who you are
We're looking for passionate people who have worked on the installation of heating systems, and we provide full training for candidates looking to make the transition to renewables!
You'll be responsible for:
- Working as part of a team of two to install low carbon technology in customers’ homes, starting with Air Source Heat Pumps.
- Using your knowledge and experience of domestic heating and plumbing systems to prepare and install unvented cylinders, pipework, and radiators
- Planning and communicating with the wider team and customers
- Continuously learning about new technologies at our innovative R&D training centre
What do we need from you?
- NVQ Level 2 plumbing qualification (or equivalent experience) and plenty of experience on the ‘wet’ side of domestic heating systems
- It’s also essential that you have a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
Other qualities we'd love to see include:
- A laser customer focus - communication is key
- A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
- A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
- WRAS Water Supply Regs or UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems can also be beneficial but not essential!
Join us in the Octoverse!
- £26,000 - £30,000 base salary with overtime available (+ London weighting if living within M25)
- £2,500 annual performance bonus
- Share Options in Octopus Energy
- £25 per week lunch allowance
- Training programme at our groundbreaking R&D centre
- Use of company tools, uniform and all PPE
- Company Vehicle and fuel
- Support for personal development in Renewable Tech
The next steps
We do things a little differently around here. If successful in your eligibility questions, we’ll invite you to complete our online blended assessment. This is made up of multiple-choice questions and three short interview questions. You’ll be scored fairly by a real person and if you stand out to us, we’ll invite you to an in person recruitment event where you can show us what you’ve got.
If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you.
Are you ready for a career with us? We want to ensure you have all the tools and environment you need to unleash your potential. Need any specific accommodations? Whether you require specific accommodations or have a unique preference, let us know, and we'll do what we can to customise your interview process for comfort and maximum magic!
Studies have shown that some groups of people, like women, are less likely to apply to a role unless they meet 100% of the job requirements. Whoever you are, if you like one of our jobs, we encourage you to apply as you might just be the candidate we hire. Across Octopus, we're looking for genuinely decent people who are honest and empathetic. Our people are our strongest asset and the unique skills and perspectives people bring to the team are the driving force of our success. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attribute. Our commitment is to provide equal opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and fairness for everyone.
