We are recruiting an experienced, reliable multi-skilled operative with a strong plumbing background to join our established team. You will work primarily on accessible bathroom adaptations and planned improvement works in local authority homes, with a secure pipeline of work, regular Monday-to-Friday hours and limited travel.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering high-quality adaptations, repairs and maintenance. Plumbing will be your primary trade, but you will also be confident undertaking associated joinery, tiling, basic plastering and general building maintenance to complete each job to a high standard.

Unlike many site-based roles, this position offers regular Monday-to-Friday working hours, local projects and limited travel, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking greater stability and a better work-life balance.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out plumbing repairs, installations and bathroom adaptation works.
  • Completing associated multi-trade tasks, including:
  • Domestic plumbing (Gas Safe registration not required)
  • Joinery
  • Basic plastering
  • Tiling

· Undertaking general refurbishment, repair and maintenance works in occupied residential properties.

· Managing your own schedule and workload effectively.

· Identifying and requesting the materials required to complete each job.

· Maintaining high standards of workmanship, keeping residents informed and providing a professional, respectful service while working in occupied homes.

· Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a plumber or multi-skilled tradesperson.
  • Strong all-round building maintenance knowledge and practical multi-trade capability.
  • Ability to work independently, organise your day and manage your time effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a practical, customer-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering accessible bathroom adaptations, social housing works or planned maintenance in occupied homes.
  • Relevant additional trade qualifications.
  • A valid CSCS card or other relevant health and safety qualification.
