Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Gas Safe and Heating Engineer. We cover the whole of Greater London within the M25. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing family-run business.

Operating for over 10 years, we provide a range of services including gas, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and drainage.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced all-round Service, Maintenance, and Breakdown Engineer who is fully qualified and confident carrying out boiler servicing, fault-finding, diagnostics, repairs, and general heating and plumbing maintenance works.

Three references from recent previous employers would be advantageous.

A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Gas Engineer is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for this position, as you will be providing detailed reports, quotations, and invoices.

Working hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Optional overtime is available.

Pay: £200–£300 per day, depending on experience.

A company van and fuel allowance are provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out boiler servicing, diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs.
  • Performing planned and reactive maintenance on domestic heating systems.
  • Performing gas safety certificates.
  • Installing and maintaining heating systems, radiators, motorised valves, and associated controls.
  • Installing and repairing leaks to toilets, basins, sinks, urinals, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Providing detailed reports, quotations, and invoices.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and safety at all times.
  • Attending emergency gas and water leak call-outs when required.
  • Maintaining a professional and presentable appearance at all times.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • In-date Gas Safe Registration Card is essential.
  • Level 2 or higher qualification in Plumbing.
  • G3 Unvented and Water Regulations qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. This is extremely important, as you must be able to complete detailed job reports and communicate effectively with clients on site.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
