Woodmans delivers carefully designed, high-end homes across the Southeast. We are looking for an experienced Plumber / Heating Engineer who combines strong technical standards with neat, considered installation work and a professional approach in clients’ homes and on live project sites.

The role

• Carry out first and second fix plumbing and heating installations on bespoke residential projects.
• Install hot and cold water services, waste systems, sanitaryware and bathroom fittings.
• Install heating pipework, radiators, towel rails and underfloor heating systems.
• Read and work accurately from drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues methodically and efficiently.
• Carry out system checks, pressure testing and commissioning within your competence, maintaining accurate project records.
• Coordinate with site managers, clients’ representatives, subcontractors and other trades.
• Work safely and tidily, with close attention to pipework layout, the quality of the finish and protection of completed work.
• Assist with boilers, hot-water cylinders, heat pumps and other specialist systems where required and within your qualifications and competence.

What we are looking for

• A recognised plumbing and heating qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3, or an accepted equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering residential plumbing and heating installations to a high standard.
• Strong practical knowledge of installation methods, system layouts and construction sequencing.
• The ability to work independently, interpret technical information and communicate issues clearly.
• A professional, reliable approach with strong attention to safety, detail and finish.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Relevant gas, unvented hot-water or heat-pump qualifications would be an advantage. Any work requiring specialist certification will depend on the appropriate qualifications and registration being in place.
