Job Title: Multi - Trader Garden Room installer

Job Type: Full-time hours (CIS / Self-Employed Sub-contractor basis)

Pay: £170.00 – £220.00 per day (Paid Weekly, depending on experience)

At Garden Rooms 365, we design and build bespoke, high-quality garden buildings across Essex. We pride ourselves on exceptional craftsmanship, rapid modern build methods, and delivering a premium finish for our clients. We have consistent, year-round projects and are looking for a versatile, skilled Multi-Trader who can manage site installations from the ground up, with strong practical experience in bathrooms and plumbing.

​The Role

This is a hands-on, varied role. You will not be stuck doing repetitive tasks day in, day out. You will be responsible for taking projects from ground level through to internal completion. Because a growing number of our luxury garden rooms feature en-suite shower rooms, toilets, and wet areas, we need someone confident with first and second fix plumbing and sanitaryware alongside general construction. (Note: We use dedicated specialist fitters for all windows and doors).

​Key Responsibilities:

• ​Groundworks & Base: Setting out and assisting with ground screw foundations and base preparation.
• ​Structure: Assembling pre-cut modular lightweight steel frame kits (very straightforward, screw-together system—full training and guidance provided on site)"
• ​Plumbing & Bathrooms: First and second fix plumbing for garden room bathrooms/toilets, installing shower trays, waste runs, sanitaryware, taps, and basic splashback/wall panelling or tiling.
• ​Exterior Cladding & Envelope: Installing composite and timber exterior cladding, and fitting EPDM rubber roofing.
• ​Internal Finishing: Fitting rigid insulation, plasterboarding/dry lining, basic internal carpentry (skirting, architraves, internal doors), and final snagging.
• ​Site Management: Ensuring the work area is kept clean, tidy, safe, and secure at the end of each day.
• ​Client Representation: Liaising professionally and politely with homeowners, maintaining the high standards of Garden Rooms 365.

​What We Are Looking For

We do not want corner-cutters. We take pride in our finish and expect you to do the same.

• ​Experience: Proven background as a Multi-Trader, General Builder, or Bathroom Fitter with broad construction skills. Experience with outbuildings or steel framing is a bonus, but a sharp multi-trade mindset is essential.
• ​Plumbing Competence: Confident carrying out domestic plumbing runs, waste connections, and fitting bathroom suites neatly without leaks.
• ​Tools & Transport: Must have your own comprehensive set of trade tools and reliable transport to travel directly to sites across Essex.
• ​Status: Registered for CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) with a valid UTR number.
• ​Attitude: Punctual, reliable, capable of working independently or in a two-man team, and comfortable working on site in all seasons.
