Overview

PAYE 40-50K DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE

OR SELF EMPLOYED £260 A DAY

Established in 1999, ARK Group Services are a responsive maintenance company supporting landlords, letting agents and tenants across the private rented sector (no social housing).

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber / Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties.

Duties

  • Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and associated pipework.
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation of heating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot system faults using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to modify or assemble components as required.
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to heating systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and parts used.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist in the training of apprentices or junior staff when necessary.

Key responsibilities

  • Annual landlord gas safety checks (CP12) and boiler services
  • Fault-finding and reactive repairs on domestic gas appliances (mostly boilers)
  • Minor installs (e.g. boiler swaps, controls upgrades) and commissioning
  • Record-keeping: certificates, job notes, photos, parts used (on our app)
  • Compliance with Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations and company procedures
  • Professional communication with tenants, landlords and letting agents

What you’ll need

  • Gas Safe registration (current) with core & domestic ACS: CCN1, CENWAT (CKR1/HTR1 beneficial)
  • Proven experience in domestic properties
  • Strong diagnostics skills and a safety-first approach
  • Full UK driving licence and comfortable working independently in the field
