Full job description

About Us

We're a friendly, fast-growing specialist construction company, and we build high-quality, purpose-built facilities for clients including the Ministry of Defence, UK police forces and some of the country's largest charities. It's work you can be proud of, for names you'll recognise.

Join us and you'll become part of a close-knit team where good work gets noticed, and you'll grow along with the business.

The Role

Working alongside our Site Supervisor and visiting Contract Manager, you'll get stuck into a real variety of work on site — everything from installing domestic plumbing to ductwork to fitting our bespoke Kennel System. You'll be part of the team across Kennelbuild's sites, helping us deliver work that goes beyond what our clients expect. No two projects are quite the same, so you'll never be doing the same thing week in, week out.

Our projects take us all over the UK, so there'll be some working away from home with overnight stays. We arrange and cover your travel and accommodation, and our Sunday-to-Thursday pattern is designed to get you back home for the weekend.

Looking for a fixed period of work rather than something permanent? That's absolutely fine — just let us know what suits you.

We'd love to hear from people of all backgrounds — if you think you'd be a good fit, please do get in touch.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out installation works safely and with care
  • Taking pride in your work and finishing to a high standard
  • Working shoulder to shoulder with a supportive site team
  • Following our Company Code of Conduct, and treating everyone on site with professionalism and respect
  • Getting to know the risk and method statements for each job, and working in line with them

What You'll Need

  • A can-do attitude
  • Reliability is key, your part of a team.
  • Some experience working in a construction environment

About You

  • You're reliable, safety-conscious and take pride in a job done well.
  • You like to get things right first time.
  • You're happy to crack on independently on site, with minimal supervision.
  • You're a good team player who gets on well with other trades and site management.
  • You're flexible about travel and working away when a project calls for it.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently.

What's In It For You

  • A competitive hourly rate of between £10 and £15, on either CIS or PAYE — whichever works best for you. Rate depending on your experience, age and what you can bring to our team!
  • Travel and accommodation arranged and paid for whenever you're working away — no out-of-pocket costs
  • Paid travel time
  • Shared driving, so the miles never fall on one person
  • A Sunday-to-Thursday working pattern, so you get proper time at home with family and friends
  • Overtime available if you want it
  • Training and development — we're big believers in helping our people build their skills and careers
  • Varied, meaningful work for high-profile clients right across the UK
