Full job description

We're a Spanish immersion setting and we are looking for a qualified early years educator to join the team in Bebes (our room for children aged 6month to 2 years). This is a special opportunity for early years educators that would enjoy working in a child-centred, diverse, bilingual nursery. Spanish-speakers are preferred but we would also welcome applications from candidates who are willing to work in a bilingual environment.

Our setting is a unique, innovative nursery in SE18 (Woolwich / Plumstead / Shooters Hill), South East London. We believe in nurturing and developing our staff. Benefits include our unique Management Fast Track Programme, which attracts an additional pay allowance of £1000 per year as well as additional set "office time", work shadowing and leadership opportunities. We also offer generous yearly pay allowances for level 2, 3 and 6 qualified staff, and responsibilities including SENCo and Senior Practitioner. Staff perks include parties / team building activities, and surprises including Krispy Kreme Donuts and staff competitions! We are a close-knit, highly-qualified and welcoming team and take staff well-being very seriously.

Set in a child-sized miniature city, Bonitots offers a cutting-edge Spanish-English curriculum in an environment carefully designed to nurture, engage and inspire all children to fulfill their potential. The nursery care for children from 6 months to five years old and offers an out-of-school club for children aged between four and seven years.

We have a FULL TIME OR PART-TIME vacancy for staff working with 0 - 2 year olds

Our ideal applicant will:

Support us to fulfill our mission statement: To give children a gift for life by supporting them to develop into resilient, creative, empathetic, bilingual children - with a high self esteem and growth mindset - through warm, innovative, engaging interactions.
Prioritise the children's safety above all else, followed by their wellbeing and development.
Have a working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Operate a key person system and build excellent partnerships with parents, carers, and senior staff
Plan, organise and implement a creative programme of activities to meet the needs of the age group you are working with and each individual child’s needs and interests. Activities will be based on principles of the EYFS and practitioners should also be keen to embrace and develop the setting's use of more progressive approaches such as loose parts play, the curiosity approach and in the moment planning. All staff are expected to contribute to the development of the programme with ideas, based in research / studies, that will allow the children to flourish and fulfill their potential
Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team.

You must:
- Speak Spanish fluently or be open to working in a bilingual environment
- Have a qualification in early years education (overseas qualifications and qualifications in Primary School Aged Education considered)
- Be flexible and creative and have the commitment to provide first class childcare
- Have the ability to promote good practice in a professional manner
