Full job description

Central Health Network is currently working with PCNs across the UK to deliver a nation-wide roll-out of First Contact Podiatry services.

This is an exciting journey, and one that will revolutionise the care and treatment patients presenting with foot related health conditions receive in an NHS setting.

In order to press on with our roll-out of FCP services, we’re recruiting existing FCPs &/or experienced Podiatrists who are looking to move into this new area of service delivery and become Primary Care First Contact Podiatrists.

As a First Contact Podiatrist you will deploy your proven Podiatry skills, be able to make sound judgement calls and be responsible for managing patients through clear and effective care pathways that are designed to achieve the very best outcomes.

Working from GP Surgeries across specific PCNs, as a First Contact Podiatrist you will deal with a diverse caseload, work as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare management team, and provide primary assessment, diagnosis and management advice so patients gain a better understanding of their problems and treatment options.

Interested candidates should possess:

Advanced clinical practice skills

The ability to self-manage

Good communication, organisational and time management skills

Good IT skills

HCPC and CSP registration

Post-graduate/Masters level qualifications desirable

Successful candidates will be embarking upon a new and exciting career path and in return will receive a competitive salary, a compressive range of employee benefits, support towards personal development and the opportunity to progress and build a bright future within Central Health.

To discuss the First Contact Podiatry opportunities we have available immediately, and those that will occur throughout 2022, please contact Kevin Huffington, Clinical Director at Central Health on kevin@centralhealth.org.uk
