Title: Tenancy Enforcement Officer
Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £37579 - £41541
Grade: 8
Reporting Office: Manchester, Trafford
Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office (hybrid working)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9-5 With some felxibility
Closing Date: Friday 7th August

Join our Housing Specialims Team at L&Q:

- Be prepared for a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same within in our Tenancy Enforcement team.
- To provide a proactive anti-social behavior (ASB) service including investigative, enforcement and preventative activities in line with the ASB procedure and current legal guidance.
- Ensure appropriate and effective support is provided to both ASB complainants and alleged perpetrators, enabling residents to maintain their tenancies in accordance with tenancy agreements and obligations
- Respond to general correspondence in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, and support the management of customer dissatisfaction, complaints, councillor enquiries, and MP correspondence by providing timely, professional, and accurate responses
- Ensure that our residents are at the forefront of the work that you do to ensure you are providing an excellent level of service.
- You'll be joining a close-knit and highly supportive team of six officers, where collaboration, knowledge sharing and helping one another to achieve the best outcomes for residents are at the heart of how we work.

Your impact in the role:
- High standard of accurate case management
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including safer community teams and Greater Manchester Police.
- Work closely with key strategic partners to ensure a joined-up approach when tackling ASB in our communities.
- Other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the Trust including flexibility in covering the duties of other members of the Tenancy Enforcement Team in periods of high demand or absence
- The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) compliant witness statements and legal documentation for court proceedings
What you'll bring:
- BTEC in Community Safety or similar (desirable)
- Experience of working within a customer-focused environment and delivering joined-up services Relevant skills they need – i.e. communication skills, analytical skills or stakeholder management skills etc.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business use insurance
- Excellent Communication Skills, be able to have challenging and difficult conversations with customers.
- A strong working knowledge of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, alongside an awareness of the new powers introduced through the Crime and Policing Act 2026, enabling me to take a proactive, evidence-led approach to protecting residents and tackling ASB effectively.
- Be proficient in MS Office and other IT software.
