Location: MENA Region

British, Passport Holders Only

Rotation: 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off

Food, Accommodation and General Expenses:

Company will provide the Contractor with food, drink, transportation, and accommodation as necessary whilst the Contractor is engaged in a project.

Job Description:

· Assisting with task delivery, task planning and preparation with due regard for the level of threat conveyed by the most recent project risk assessment when required.

· Operating as a PPO to Authority clients whilst they conduct their daily duties as part of a mobile protection team.

· Complying with all directives issued by host state military or police or such other authorities as may have authority over the Team or Operative during the course of tasks and missions, always ensuring and under all circumstances, that due courtesy is afforded them and effective and cooperative relations maintained.

· Engaging routinely with clients, professionally, politely and appropriately.

· Reporting to the Team Leadership any client requests for services outside the agreed Scope of Works.

· Maintaining absolute familiarity with Garda World Standard Operating Procedures and the legal parameters in which the team operates.

· Undergo team training, receiving regular training and maintaining currency in tactics techniques procedures, actions on (response to incidents), updates to standard operating procedures and project specific training.

· Attend and pass the GW Personal Fitness Standard (PFA).

· Liaising with such police, military and other agencies as the team may encounter, ensuring that it is handled with due courtesy and effective and cooperative relations are maintained.

· Reporting all disciplinary and security related issues to the Project Manager

· Any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.

Requirements:

· English speaking expatriate, confident, articulate and an agreeable character with clients.

· Current and valid C1UK Driver’s license or other as accepted by the Client.

· Minimum of 5 years of service in a Regular Army.

· Minimum of one Iraq – Afghanistan Operational Tours.

· Satisfactory completion of a formal Close Protection training course conducted by an SIA-approved training organization (or another national equivalent).

· In possession of a valid certificate of qualification in First Aid FREC / FPOS-I / MIRA) having completed a training program and qualified for the award with an Edexcel approved provider,

· Satisfactory completion of a criminal record check within the recent 6 months

· All candidates will need to be screened to NATO Secret level.

· All candidates will need to be Physically robust and capable of passing a basic fitness assessment.

Desirable

· In possession of a current SIA Close Protection License.

Pay: £180.00-£200.00 per day

You must not have a criminal record, must not have been dishonourably discharged from service, convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or equivalent), or terminated from employment.
  • Are you a British & Commonwealth passport holder? Provision: You must have been resident in the UK for at least two of the previous five years immediately prior to your application, at least one year of which must have been a consecutive twelve-month period.
  • Do you hold at least five (5) years of recent accumulated experience (including operational experience) in a sovereign military unit or para-military police force?
  • Do you have a current and valid C1 UK Driver’s Licence or other licence as accepted by the Authority?
