Paralegal – Actions against the police

Liverpool | Full Time

Mark Reynolds Solicitors Ltd are seeking a Paralegal to join our growing AVP team at our Liverpool office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a meaningful area of law within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

The Role

This role involves, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients via telephone calls
  • Taking new client enquiries, briefly assessing circumstances
  • Assisting fee earners with casework
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Reviewing police records & medical records
  • Working closely with solicitors and supporting active case files
  • Responding to client and third-party queries in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Drafting applications to Court
  • Preparing and producing court bundles

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Law degree
  • At least 2 years’ experience working within a law firm
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A satisfactory understanding of the day-to-day operations of a legal office
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • A professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach

Previous experience in personal injury work would be advantageous, but is not essential.
