Forest & Ray Dental Clinic – Holborn, Central London
£13.00–£18 per hour + monthly bonus / commission
Full-time / Part-time

Forest & Ray Dental Clinic is a fully private dental practice in Holborn, Central London. We are looking for a confident, organised and personable Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our team in a hybrid front-of-house and treatment coordination role.

This position combines reception duties, patient communication, appointment management and treatment coordination. It is ideal for someone with previous dental front desk experience who is comfortable speaking with patients about treatment plans, fees and next steps, while also helping to deliver an excellent patient experience from first enquiry to completed treatment.

The role

You will play an important part in both the day-to-day running of reception and the patient treatment journey. You will help patients feel welcomed, informed and supported, while also following up treatment plans and helping the practice convert enquiries into booked treatment.

Key responsibilities

  • Welcome patients in a warm, professional and confident manner
  • Handle patient enquiries by phone, email and in person
  • Book appointments for new and existing patients
  • Manage the reception desk and support the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
  • Prepare, explain and follow up treatment plans
  • Discuss treatment options, fees and next steps with patients in a clear and professional way
  • Follow up outstanding treatment plans and unscheduled treatment
  • Support high treatment uptake through strong communication and patient follow-up
  • Liaise with dentists, nurses and the wider team to ensure a smooth patient journey
  • Keep patient records and administrative tasks accurate and up to date
  • Build a strong understanding of the practice’s services, fees and patient pathways

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a dental receptionist, treatment coordinator, or similar dental front-of-house role
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Confident, professional communication skills and a strong telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and communicate with empathy and confidence
  • Comfortable discussing treatment plans, fees and patient questions in a professional and ethical manner
  • Good sales awareness / treatment conversion mindset, while keeping patient care at the centre
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy private practice environment
  • Good IT skills and confidence using practice software and general office systems
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work well both independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a private dental practice
  • Experience following up treatment plans and helping convert enquiries into booked treatment
  • An additional European language would be an advantage, especially Hungarian, Italian, Polish or Russian
