We are now looking for a highly experienced Senior English–Polish Translator & Localisation Specialist to join our growing team.

The role

This is a full-time, permanent position combining advanced translation and localisation expertise with a strong understanding of marketing and digital visibility.

You will work on varied projects for businesses seeking to reach Polish-speaking audiences, ensuring that their content is linguistically accurate, culturally relevant and commercially effective.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, localise and transcreate content from English into Polish and Polish into English.
• Adapt websites, marketing campaigns, digital products and other materials for their target audiences.
• Provide cultural consultancy to help clients communicate effectively across the UK and Polish markets.
• Edit, proofread and quality-check translated and localised content to maintain consistently high standards.
• Apply SEO principles to translation and localisation projects, including keyword research and search intent analysis.
• Support projects involving GEO and AEO, ensuring content is structured and adapted for evolving search environments.
• Work with CAT tools and localisation platforms to ensure consistency, efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with other specialists and contribute to the development of language and localisation strategies.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, maintaining clear communication and meeting agreed deadlines.

Skills neededEssential requirements

Translation and localisation

• At least 10 years of documented, full-time professional experience in English-to-Polish and Polish-to-English translation.
• Exceptional professional proficiency in Polish, equivalent to native-level command, and near-native proficiency in English.
• Demonstrable experience in localisation, cultural consultancy and transcreation.
• Excellent editing, proofreading and quality assurance skills in both languages.
• Proven professional experience in at least three of the following specialisms:
• Food and drink
• Travel and tourism
• Pet care and veterinary
• Marketing and advertising
• Game localisation
• Sports and media
• SEO translation and localisation

Marketing and technical expertise

• At least five years of professional experience in marketing, including part-time experience where applicable.
• Translation and marketing experience may overlap. Applicants are not required to demonstrate 15 separate years of professional experience, provided they meet the minimum experience requirements in both fields.
• A strong understanding of digital marketing and content strategy.
• Proficiency with SDL Trados Studio, Crowdin and memoQ.
• Proficiency with SEO tools, including Ahrefs and Screaming Frog SEO Spider.
• Ability to combine linguistic expertise with commercial and cultural considerations.

Desirable qualifications and experience

• A degree in translation, linguistics or a closely related discipline.
• Professional membership of one or more of the following organisations will be viewed favourably:
• Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), particularly qualified membership (MITI) or fellowship (FITI).
• Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), particularly Member (MCIL), Fellow (FCIL) or Chartered Linguist status (CL).
• Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), with a minimum of Associate (ACIM) membership status or a higher membership grade.
• Equivalent recognised professional memberships and accreditations will also be considered.
• Previous experience in website and game localisation.
• Advanced knowledge of SEO, GEO and AEO.
• Experience working directly with UK businesses.
• Current, practical understanding of UK culture, consumer behaviour and everyday life.
• Additional professional experience in related fields such as copywriting, content strategy, UX writing or international marketing.

Working pattern and day

Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Working hours: 9 am–5 pm UK time
Paid hours: 37.5 hours per week
Lunch break: 30 minutes unpaid per working day
Work location: Fully remote, within the United Kingdom

The successful candidate will work independently while collaborating closely with our remote team of language and marketing specialists.

The working day will involve a combination of translation, localisation, transcreation, editing, proofreading, cultural consultancy and digital marketing-related activities, depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities will include maintaining clear communication with colleagues, managing assigned tasks and deadlines, and ensuring that all deliverables meet our quality standards.

Location and right to work

• Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
• We are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must already hold the necessary UK immigration status or other valid right-to-work permission allowing them to undertake this employment without employer sponsorship.
• Candidates must be available to work during the specified UK business hours and be comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
