Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Paint Prepper to join our Bodyshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring high-quality finishes, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the Vehicle accident repair industry. The position involves physical work and requires attention to detail to achieve optimal results.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
  • Use hand tools and power tools to remove old paint, sealant, rust, or debris from surfaces
  • Mix and apply primer or base coats as required for various projects
  • Assist with masking and taping to protect areas not to be painted
  • Conduct quality checks on prepared surfaces to meet company standards
  • Polish and detail vehicles upon completion of paintwork.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
  • Work within a small team environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
