About Us

Porter Wood Law is a small but friendly specialist Claimant personal injury law firm based in Euxton, Chorley. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional legal services with a personal touch. We serve a diverse client base, including a significant Polish-speaking community.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner to join our team. You will manage your own mixed caseload of OIC Portal and MIB untraced claims, CICA claims, and Fast Track personal injury claims (EL/PL and RTA). You will also assist the Directors with their caseload. Communication is key, as you will regularly support our Polish-speaking clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of personal injury claims from inception to settlement.
  • Process claims through the MOJ RapidClaim Portal and OIC Portal efficiently.
  • Conduct CICA claims for victims of violent crime
  • Interview clients and take detailed witness statements.
  • Assess liability and quantum to value claims accurately.
  • Instruct and liaise with medical experts as necessary and liaise with clients regarding medical appointments
  • Negotiate settlements with third-party insurers.
  • Provide legal updates to clients in both English and Polish.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing Fast Track personal injury files.
  • Strong working knowledge of the MOJ Rapid Claim Portal.
  • Experience of the Official Injury Claim (OIC) Portal.
  • Fluency in both English and Polish (written and spoken).
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a busy caseload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
