Our Customs department has an opportunity for a Customs Clearance Operator to join the department. As a result of Brexit and the new customs procedures implemented, Portico have been building on an already successful Customs Agency to provide a much needed service for traders to get their goods in and out of the UK.

The successful applicant will join an integral part of the Portico business, which is responsible for the Customs clearance and logistics solutions of all cargoes arriving on Portico premises and other Port facilities across the UK. In this role, you will play an important part in contributing to the overall service provided by the team.

Previous Import/Export experience, knowledge of customs formalities, CDS, CNS and MCP inventory systems, HMRC, DEFRA and Port Health requirements are desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

To apply you must be able to demonstrate skills & experience in the following areas:

Due to the nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to work as part of the departmental shift rota so must be flexible in their working hours.
