Live-in Resident Caretaker

*Location:* Cranley Mansion, South Kensington (SW7), London

*Salary:* £22,396.40 per annum + *1-bedroom accommodation provided*

*Job Type:* Full-time, Permanent

*Working Hours:* Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, plus weekend rubbish collection (Saturday morning and Sunday evening)

## About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, proactive and hands-on *Live-in Resident Caretaker* to join a well-maintained private residential building in the heart of South Kensington.

Cranley Mansion is a prestigious development comprising just *seven residential apartments*, offering a friendly and professional environment. The successful candidate will live on-site and play a key role in maintaining the building to a high standard while providing excellent service to residents.

A comprehensive handover will be provided, and we are looking to appoint someone as soon as possible.

## Key Responsibilities

* Carry out daily cleaning of all communal areas to a high standard.

* Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs and decorating within your level of competence.

* Conduct regular building inspections and promptly report any defects.

* Receive, log and distribute parcels and mail to residents.

* Assist residents with porterage, deliveries and general day-to-day support.

* Supervise contractors and provide access when required.

* Maintain gardens and external areas, including seasonal maintenance.

* Manage refuse and recycling collections.

* Keep accurate maintenance, health & safety and site records.

* Ensure the building remains safe, secure, clean and welcoming at all times.

## What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience as a caretaker, porter, building manager, estate operative or maintenance operative.

* Strong practical maintenance and handyman skills.

* Experience carrying out minor repairs, painting and basic building maintenance.

* Excellent cleaning and housekeeping standards.

* A friendly, professional and customer-focused attitude.

* Good spoken and written English.

* Basic IT skills, including the ability to send emails and complete simple records.

* The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and take ownership of the building.
