Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and fully equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within restaurants or hotels.

Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks, ensuring that ingredients are ready for cooking.
  • Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stored correctly.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy periods by assisting with basic cooking tasks when required.
  • Ensure that all waste is disposed of properly and that recycling procedures are followed.
  • Clean kitchen appliances and surfaces regularly to maintain a safe working environment.
