Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Weekend Night Porter to provide exceptional guest services during overnight hours. The successful candidate will ensure the safety, security, and comfort of our guests while maintaining the smooth operation of the hotel during their shift. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hospitality experience and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures using phone etiquette and courteous communication.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, providing information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues efficiently, escalating concerns when necessary to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and other designated spaces during night hours.
  • Record all relevant activities accurately in the hotel management system.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as logging incidents or maintenance requests as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

  • Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential.
  • Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist a diverse range of guests.
  • Strong phone etiquette and excellent guest service skills are essential for effective communication.
  • Familiarity with hospitality standards, including guest services, is advantageous.
  • Experience working night shifts or in security roles will be considered an asset. This role is ideal for organised individuals who thrive in a quiet overnight environment, prioritising guest safety and satisfaction through professionalism and attention to detail.
