About LALÏ

LALÏ Cafe is a vibrant coffee and brunch spot in the heart of London, known for specialty coffee and delicious brunch dishes served in a welcoming atmosphere. Operating during daytime hours only – no night shifts – we are looking for a passionate chef to join our team.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can grow your culinary skills.

What You’ll Do

Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook dishes following our recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is high quality and beautifully presented
  • Help develop menu items and share ideas

Kitchen Management

  • Work closely with the Head Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly
  • Support and train team members
  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene requirements

Stock & Organisation

  • Manage ingredients efficiently and minimise waste
  • Help with stock rotation and ordering
  • Complete necessary logs and checks

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 3-4 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen
  • Good cooking skills and food preparation knowledge
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene
  • Able to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environment
  • Team-player with good communication skills
  • Flexible to work weekends and holidays

Nice to Have

  • Culinary qualifications or apprenticeship
  • Food Safety Level 2 certificate
  • Café or restaurant experience
  • Allergen management knowledge
