Full job description

Are you creative, confident and naturally driven by sales?

We’re looking for a creative and sales-driven individual to join our 5★ rated portrait photography studio near Marlborough, Wiltshire.

At Imagine Photography, we create beautiful, contemporary portraits and handcrafted artwork for families. We’re looking for someone who can combine a natural eye for design and creativity with the confidence and people skills to help our clients choose the products that are right for them.

Sales is an important part of this role. You’ll be meeting clients, understanding what they love about their photographs and helping them choose the right artwork for their home. We’re not looking for a pushy salesperson — we’re looking for someone who is naturally good with people, can understand what a client wants and confidently guide them towards the best decision for them.

You’ll also learn image editing, retouching and our studio processes, with an opportunity for the right candidate to progress to train as a professional portrait photographer, as their skills and experience develop.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet with clients and help them select their favourite photographs and artwork
  • Understand each client's needs and recommend products and packages that are right for them
  • Confidently present and sell our photography and artwork
  • Build strong relationships and deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Work towards individual and studio sales targets
  • Edit and prepare images using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Learn our portrait photography workflow and studio processes
  • Develop your creative and photography skills, with the opportunity for further photography training for the right candidate

We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have

  • A natural ability and confidence when it comes to face to face sales
  • A creative mind and a strong eye for design, aesthetics and visual presentation
  • The ability to problem solve and use your own initiative
  • The ability to listen, understand what a client wants and guide them towards the right choice
  • A positive, ambitious and enthusiastic attitude
  • Experience in sales, retail, hospitality or customer service
  • A genuine interest in portrait photography
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills

Working Pattern

A unique full-time schedule averaging 34 hours per week:

Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

This means you’ll enjoy four consecutive days off every other week — a rare benefit in the photography industry.

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own transport (our studio is in a rural location)
  • Available to work alternate weekends

Why Join Us?

  • Join a highly regarded portrait studio with 950+ five-star Google reviews
  • Develop your skills across sales, creativity, design and photography
  • Learn image editing and our professional studio processes
  • Opportunity for photography training and progression for the right candidate
  • Four-day break every other week
  • Friendly and creative team environment
  • Career progression and development

Pay: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • On-site parking

Application question(s):

  • Are you located within a 45 minute commute of our studio (SN8 3UU) and have your own car?
  • Why do you think you would be particularly good at this creative sales role?
