Full job description

Dental Ceramist (Lab Leader)

Ready to step up into leadership without leaving the bench behind?

Our client, a leading dental restorations laboratory renowned for its advanced techniques, is looking for an ambitious and talented Dental Ceramist to step into a Lab Leader role within their growing Crown & Bridge department.

This is a genuine career-progression opportunity ideal for an experienced ceramist who wants to take the next step into leadership while keeping their hands on the work they love. You'll spend around 60% of your time on the bench, producing high-end ceramic restorations, with the remaining 40% dedicated to client relationships and business development - meeting dentists, building partnerships and generating new work for the lab.

An established network or client following would be a distinct advantage, and candidates with a strong prospect of bringing work with them will be particularly well placed to make this role their own.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the Crown & Bridge team, setting the standard for quality and craftsmanship.
  • Crafting exceptional ceramic restorations, from single units to full arches.
  • Using your artistic skill to create natural-looking prosthetics matched to each patient's unique smile.
  • Building and managing relationships with dentists and practices - acting as the face of the lab and driving new business.
  • Collaborating with technicians and clinicians to ensure flawless fit and aesthetics.

What we're looking for

  • A proven track record of producing top-tier ceramic work independently.
  • Experience with implant cases, smile design, and veneers.
  • A strong understanding of dental materials and anatomy.
  • Confidence in client-facing situations - comfortable talking with dentists, presenting the lab's capabilities, and winning work.
  • Leadership potential or experience, with the ambition to grow a department.
  • An established professional network, or the ability to bring work with you, is highly desirable.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and pride in quality control.

What's on offer

  • A leadership role with real autonomy and the chance to shape the direction of the lab.
  • A supportive, collaborative team environment.
  • Access to a comprehensive training and development programme.
  • A very competitive salary and attractive benefits package, including 20 days' annual leave, on-site parking and more.

Apply today for a confidential discussion. Consult will endeavour to contact candidates within 14 days of application. However, if you do not hear back after 2 weeks then please assume on this occasion, unfortunately, you have not been successful.
