Join us as here at Poundland as a Buying Assistant in one of our retail buying teams here at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall. Following training, the role offers flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.

As Buying Assistant, you will deliver administrative support to a team of Senior Buyers and Buyers. You’ll support the co-ordination of activities that helps us ensure we select the right products and that they land in store at the right time and the right price.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

• Complete weekly price change sheet ensuring competitor information is included.
• Collate information to create New Line Forms.
• Liaise with team regarding Grey Suppliers ensuring trackers are updated.
• Complete competitor shops online and in person.
• Produce trading management information reports.
• Raising invoices and creating new suppliers.
• Liasing with supplier and completing monthly turnover trackers.
• Ordering samples to be used in the range review process.
• Manage stock in our and sample room and support range builds in our mock shop.

For this role, we need a highly organised administrator who has great attention to detail who has experience of supporting a fast-paced team. Previous experience in a Retail Buying Assistant role is preferred but not essential. To be successful in this role, you will be able to prioritise multiple tasks, have strong communication and a passion for retail.
